Where Do I Start?
Step one: moisturize. Preparing your fingers is key to ensuring high-quality fingerprints. Keep your hands hydrated by applying moisturizer frequently for a few days before getting your fingerprints taken. Avoid using harsh soaps or cleaners that may dry out your skin. Healthy skin improves fingerprint quality and reduces the chance of delays, as dry skin is one of the leading causes of low-quality prints that may be rejected by the RCMP.

Download Our Instructions and Forms (First 3 Required):
For certain foreign nationals, depending on their country of origin, a Temporary Resident Visa (visitor visa) is required to visit Canada. A letter of invitation is often a key document in this process. This letter must be provided by a Canadian resident who is inviting the individual applying for the visa.
Once the invitation letter is prepared and notarized, the visitor must include the original letter with their visa application and other required documents when submitting them to the Canadian consulate or embassy in their home country. Details on visa application requirements can typically be found on the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website or the local Canadian Consulate’s website.
- Important:
In most cases, visa offices require invitation letters to be notarized by a Notary Public.
For your convenience, we have provided a free sample invitation letter below that you can customize to meet your specific needs.

For your application, ensure you provide the following:

- Notarized copies of two valid IDs (e.g., passport and driver’s license).

- For immigration or citizenship, include a copy of the request letter with file numbers and destination addresses.
- For Canadian federal screenings, ensure the ORI number of the processing department is included.
